Students are hearing voices!

That's what happened during the Get Psyched mental health workshop this past week. During the two days, students heard from Leslie Westbook, MFT, and Patricia Verduzco from San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health. The "hearing voices" excerise consisted of participants placing a paper bagover their heads (with a cut out for their face) while two other partipants read messages in their ears. The paper bag, amplifies those messages and gives students a small taste of what it is like have auditory hallucinationss - a common symptom of those with pychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia.
