Travel nurse Hannah Giboney, BSN, RN, CCRN, visited Ms. Crawford's class at Rialto High to share some of her experiences overseas. Ms. Giboney believes that her calling in life is to provide health care to those who need it most and has worked in many poverty striken nations throughout the world. Her work has placed her in some high risk situations including providing medical treatment to  ISIS fighters and rebels in Afghanistan and removing tumors to villagers deep in the heart of Kenya.  Her dedication and skills as a nurse has helped her to impact thousands of lives. Throughout her talk she shared with the 40 students how she became a nurse and spoke frankly about the pros and cons of being a travel nurse. She is never in one place for very long but she does have the freedom to pick and go to wherever she is needed. She really had the student's attention! Hannah is currently working at Loma Linda University Medical Center until the travel bug bites again.
